Cumbuco is situated directly on the beach in northeastern Brazil, about 30 km north of Fortaleza with connection to an international airport.

With an estimated population of 3000 inhabitants Cumbuco has maintained its original and simple charm of a small Brazilian fishing village. Instead of mass tourism and all-inclusive hotels you’ll find a variety of different pousadas, apartments, small hotels, as well as houses .

The beach of Cumbuco is endless, wide-reaching (depending on tides) and made of fine sand.  A paradise for everybody who adores beach-life.

The typical image of Cumbuco from June to January is a sky with many colorful kites, which can be seen every day as soon as there is a slight breeze in the air.

Culinary variety is guaranteed in Cumbuco. From local "restaurants" where you can get simple Brazilian dishes (fish or meat with noodles, rice and beans) for a small price, to pizza and pasta and fantastic local (beef) meat and international cuisine.

Additionally Cumbuco presents a wide variety of bars and cafes, many of them in the first row directly on the sea.

For your daily needs you will find several small supermarkets (mercadinhos). Two pharmacies are at your disposal. In the marketplace you will finde fresh-caught fish, daily.  This tastes fantastic on the grill.
